Dear Greg,
Just a quick question- I will be getting about $180,000 as a profit from the sale of my house here in the city in the next few months with the $40,000 deposit coming this week.
I haven't bought land, food, water yet. I intend to as soon as I find it and hopefully build right away before 2012 at least.
However, in the meantime, do you recommend I buy gold and silver bullion and small coins for it to grow rapidly (as a better investment than the 3.8% the banks can give me in term deposits)? I noticed the price of gold has dropped slightly, although I know it will increase again- but if that's in 2011? Do you know why it has dropped slightly (especially when we can see the graphs and figures of how much the banks have borrowed from Fed, etc)!
Gold is being manipulated and maintained by the commercial banks that sell gold to keep its price down. They have been doing this for decades. However, they are running out of gold and will not be able to continue this manipulation through the end of this year. I expect gold to be at $1200 USD an ounce before the end of the year and over $1600 USD by the end of 2010. And there are a growing number of conservative experts that think gold will double these estimates.
But even on the most conservative side that is an average of 33% - 77% return on your investment with gold. To give you a perspective, your 3.8% return will not even cover the increase in the rate of inflation.
Gold and silver bullion is the best investment you can make. I like coins, rather than bars. They are the more recognizable and very easy to sell when needed.

My wife and I have been working toward our sovereignty for the past 3 years. Things are coming along well. We have paid off over 90% of our debt, acquired a substantial supply of food and clothing in addition to the other things Ram talks about (tools, clothes, alternative currency). We began looking at a piece of land to purchase and put in our water well, wind turbine, septic and UG. With not enough money to purchase it outright, my wife was suggesting we finance the remainder. I am apprehensive about this because it seems to defeat the purpose of sovereignty and moreover, if our currency value plummets (which it will) the outstanding deficit will skyrocket, leaving me no option but to give it back to the corporatocracy. We are so close to having fulfilled our objective, but now I'm faced with a decision to go back in debt to complete the job. What do I do?
This is one of the most difficult decisions I have encountered. My best advice is to wait until you are absolutely certain as to what to do. Don't be impatient - you have time to make the right decision.
If you still do not have an answer in two months - write back and I will give you my opinion.

I am presently renting a home but have access to some high, safe land where I can build a vacation home for my wife and our child. I have already purchased the logs for the home but now wonder if it would have been wiser to sell them and first buy and build a (stout) house on the property that we can call our own, rather than throwing money at renting. I do not want to be so focused on living in my 'vacation home' that I miss living in the moment with my beautiful family when we have been taught how to change our timelines, yet I also know the importance of being prepared for earth changes. I live in Australia. I would appreciate any comments or suggestions. Also, can you please define what a 'stout' house means to you?
I was at the event when Ramtha mentioned building a stout house. It came as a surprise to me as he has ALWAYS talked about 'vacation homes' - never any other alternative. He has since that evening ONLY talked about 'vacation homes.' If you want my suggestion, I would build the 'vacation home.' You will not miss being with your family - I have found NOTHING that has been more beautiful than preparing myself for a future and doing it with my family. We have grown together through the process.
Also, maybe you could buy a trailer for the same price that it would cost you to rent - now you are not using money for rent. Ramtha has said that in the near future we would come up from our 'vacation homes' during the day, BUT still go down at night for safety. So you will be using it long after the initial chaos has passed.

China says it's a gold buyer!
According to several news services, China has admitted to having boosted its gold reserves. Since December 2002 the Chinese central bank added 600 tonnes of gold to bring its reserves to 1,054 tonnes.
And while more than a thousand tonnes of gold might sound like a lot, it represents less than 5% of China's total currency reserves. In comparison, the US has eight times as much gold, but that amount represents 80% of its total currency reserves.
In other words, this may very well turn out to be just the beginning of a trend for China.
Now China reveals its growing gold reserves. At the same time it has started to openly question the international dollar standard. This is a perfect environment for gold to gain value!!
How do you test a coin to make sure it is pure gold??
Make a small score on the edge of the coin, and place a drop of nitric acid on it. Nitric acid will not affect gold, and will not affect the area of the coin that is scored. This verifies that the coin is not plated. The acid rub test is a standard jeweler's test, and verifies the karat weight of the coin.

Just to let you know that hybrid seeds will germinate, they just do not reproduce true to themselves as they are outcrosses for the purpose of rapid growth and higher yield for
commercial producers. If you saved seeds from a hybrid plant you would get 50% seeds similar to the original and 25% from each of the two original plants that produced the hybrid version.
